I’ve been shooting with a SLR camera since I was a kid. I have never own a point and shoot until 2002 when i purchased my 1st digital camera (Canon Powershot S200). 2Mp was a lot back in those days. HAHAHA! Once I started shooting with the Fuji S2 Pro (my first DSLR) in 2003. I pretty much stopped using the s200.
Almost a decade later, I am now an owner of the Canon Powershot S95. This would have came in handy when we were visiting Disney over the summer. Carrying the Canon 5D Mark II with 24-105 was not fun at all.
I have been messing around with the camera for over a month now. I must say, I’m pretty impress with the camera. Having the ability to shoot in manual mode is just awesome. It is like having a DSLR but much smaller and more compact. But then again what’s the point of having a point and shoot if you cant just point and shoot. I highly recommend the Canon Powershot S95. Currently they have a newer model, the Canon PowerShoot S100. For the price and my needs of a point and shoot, I went with the S95.

In case you haven’t seen it, check out my movie mode (test). http://www.jklimagery.com/2011/11/test-video-canon-s95/
